Heyri-the journey

Sculptures,replicas and ehxibition ornaments are common sight in Heyri.









You can reach this destination by several routes.What I mention here, the way which is coforatable for me.Most of the people could take this route as it is easier to follow.if you take the green line( line 2) from Shidorim you can reach Hapjeong station .You have to take the exit no 2.Then you can reach Heyri by taking the bus( route no) 200 or 2200.But, it is better to go by 2200 bus ,as it take less time.

Heyri-"The village that all Artists are dreaming"




Heyri is a village specillly designed for Personalities who works in the feild of Arts.It was designed as a common gathering place for artists of all deciplins.The dwelling units were dedicated to them,and were designed by well known architects of native and foreign breed.Even though it was first established 15 years before most of the buildings shows elements of modern era.But now most of the buildings are afliated with variety of functions.Specially,they function as Exhibition spaces,private galleries,lodges,restaurents as well as shops of artifacts.This attractive destination which located in Gyeonggi do, is a well known tourist destination in contemporary Korea.

The large clay jars, on a stone podium is a common sight in Korean Traditional houses allocated to Kitchen annex the " Puok".The food that store on these jars are depends on the seasonal availability.Most commonly, Kimchi,Pickled seafood, and dried vegetables with soy souce are stored in these jars.
Traditional house "Hanoak" in "Wei amg "Village in Asan-si .The village is famouse for its natural context and also for the traditional remainings and settlement topography.

Hanoak is the vernacular Housing Tradition in Korea.Which is well known for its variety and Climatic responses.The development of Korean Traditional Housing Architecture was influenced by certain forces.Mainly the Geographical chaRacteristics of the Korean peninsula,Ideas of "Feng sui" and Cultural aspects of Korean Society shaped the form and variety of Korean Traditional Housing.The Geography was bounded with Climatic conditions which varies from North to South.The " Kumagunsan " a Concept of Feng sui ,the Shining rivers and mountains helped the Koreans in choosing the suitable site conditions to form a village and even for the locating of single housing unit.The Duality of Korean Traditional Hoising is formed by both China and Japan.
